Journal articles, sources that agree, and finding someone from a description

SW Agent reads open-access journal articles for its documents, merges what its sources agree on, ranks its sources by how well they answer you, and suggests who you mean when you describe someone.

Describes Sonic Weaver v5.28, released .

Journal articles

When you ask for a document, a report or everything about a topic, and our own docs do not fully cover it, SW Agent also reads open-access journal articles from Europe PMC: only articles under CC BY or CC0, each licence checked again. It quotes their findings first, each credited to the article's authors, year and journal, with a link to the article.

Sources that agree, and the best match first

A sentence two sources say is written once and cited to both, and those sentences lead their section, so what the sources agree on comes first. Every source is ranked by how much of your question it answers, and the document says how many sentences more than one source supports.

When you cannot remember the name

Describe them: "the long white haired scientist that looked crazy", "the painter who cut off his ear", "which composer went deaf". SW Agent looks through everyone of that kind in its knowledge, best known first, for what you said, and suggests who it sounds like, with the next closest. It is a suggestion, never stated as a fact: press Tell me about them to check.

If several fit about as well, it says so and asks for one more thing you remember. A question that names someone is answered from what is known about them instead.

Still have a question about this?

SW Agent answers from this article and the rest of our docs, and can do it for you with the site's own tools.
