Some of the tools run open-source software and models in your browser. This page names each one, its licence and where its exact source is. Nothing here is uploaded anywhere: the software runs on your device.

FFmpeg for WebAssembly (@ffmpeg/core, single thread)

Version: 0.12.10. Licence: GPL-2.0-or-later.

Used by: Convert & compress (every video and audio conversion) and Mastering (MP3 export, and opening audio this browser cannot decode).

Served unmodified from this site at /ffmpeg/0.12.10/ and loaded only when a conversion starts. The repository at this tag holds the build scripts and the Dockerfile that fetch and build the FFmpeg and library versions listed below; FFmpeg's own source is at https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/tree/n5.1.4.

What the FFmpeg build contains

The FFmpeg core is built from the ffmpeg.wasm repository at the tag linked above, which pins these libraries. As built with x264 and x265 the whole is licensed under the GNU GPL, version 2 or later.

Where these tools came from

They were ported from other Novus Stream Solutions sites by the same publisher and rebuilt for Sonic Weaver:

  • Mastering: novus-studio's Mixing Console (the console look), with a new chain, meters and export.
  • Image editor: novus-bgremover's background removal and image filters, rebuilt as a layered editor.
  • Convert & compress: novus-converter's FFmpeg media engine and format table, cut to the visualizer programs' formats.
