Ads on Sonic Weaver
Where ads show and where they never do, the one sponsored spot in the editors, the sponsor tab when you export, and how to turn ads off.
Describes Sonic Weaver v5.24, released .
Where ads show
Sonic Weaver is free to use, and most of its pages can carry ads, including your dashboard and settings. Ads only ever load on the live site, after the page has checked your cookie choice.
Pages that never carry an ad
The legal and policy pages carry no ad: /privacy, /cookies, /terms, /security and /accessibility.
These screens load no ad code at all, because an ad script can read the page it runs on and they show sign-in details, recovery codes, staff tools or a private channel's invite link: /login, /signup, /recover, /migrate-account, /admin, /admin-login, /settings/security, /join, /dashboard/channel/members and /stream/connect, and every page under them.
In Classic and Studio
Each editor has one sponsored spot, at the top of the page above the panels, the canvas and the Timeline. Nothing is ever placed inside the preview, the Timeline or the controls, and in a browser that cannot show it safely beside the editor's audio tools, nothing is shown there at all.
The sponsor tab when you export
When you start an export, a sponsor page can open in a new tab. Your export keeps running in its own tab and the file downloads either way, so close the sponsor tab and come back. One click opens at most one tab, and only your own click can open one.
Turning ads off
Choose Cookie settings in the footer of any page. Declining advertising stops new ad requests and removes the ads already on the page; where ad code has already run, the page reloads once. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and wherever your region cannot be told, no ad loads until you accept. Global Privacy Control turns advertising off too.
To turn every ad off in this browser whatever your cookie choice, press Turn ads off under Ads only on the Cookies page; Turn ads back on undoes it. The Cookies page also names the ad networks and what each may store.
Where ads never reach
Players you embed on your own website show no ads, and AI assistants connected through our MCP server get answers with no ads in them.
