Open a 3D model or pick a free one, make it turn on the beat, bounce on the kicks and shatter on the drop, then add it to Classic or Studio as a layer, or convert and compress the file.
Before you start
3D models puts a 3D model on your song. It opens with a free model already turning to the sample beat; press Play for the sample song, or choose your own under Music. It also runs as a tool inside Classic and Studio (Tools, then 3D Models), where the model becomes a layer of your project. Everything happens in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
Heavy models
A model over 300,000 triangles is simplified for moving layers and the preview, so the editors stay smooth; conversions and compression always use the full model. Files up to 200 MB and two million triangles open.
As made keeps the model's own colours and pictures, and Tint amount washes them toward your main colour. Studio clay, Toon, Chrome, Matcap, Hologram, Wireframe and Palette tint repaint it from your main and accent colours. Pick a lighting preset (Studio, Sunset, Neon club, Stage spot, Moonlight or Flat) and a backdrop; leave it Transparent to see the layers under the model in an editor.
Choose Orbit, Push in, Crane, Dolly zoom or Still, then the speed, distance and height, and the model's size and tilt. Dragging the preview, the arrow keys and the zoom buttons let you look around without changing any of it.
What makes a model small
Pictures are often most of a model's bytes, so shrinking them to 1024 px WebP comes first. Meshopt compression and 16-bit quantization then cut the shape's own bytes to a third or less with no visible change, and fewer triangles go further.
The library holds 18 free models made for music, from a turntable, a speaker and a microphone to a crystal, a ringed planet and a neon ring. Press one to show it, or download it as GLB, OBJ or STL. The same models are on the templates page, and your saved 3D models are listed under Your 3D models.
A 3D layer is drawn in the preview and baked into the export, moving to the project's song. Move, size and turn it on the canvas like any layer; select it to change its model, look, music and camera. Every number is also a layer setting, so you can keyframe it, for example to raise Shatter on drops only for the last chorus.
Your own model stays on your device
A model you open is kept in this browser, not uploaded. A project or a saved item remembers which model it uses; on another device, open the model file again in 3D models and the layer finds it.
