Change any setting by asking SW Agent, or with a command

Ask SW Agent to change any setting of any workspace or of your open project, such as the tempo, a loudness target or a transition's length, and it does it for you. Or type the exact command.

Describes Sonic Weaver v5.27, released .

Ask in your own words

Tell SW Agent the setting and its value: "set the bpm to 128", "put the mastering target on Spotify", "make the transition last 2 seconds", "set the screensaver to change looks every 60 seconds", "make it vertical". A step works too: "raise the bpm by 10", "a bit faster". It finds the setting by the words on its control, the workspace you name or the one you are in, and checks the value against what the control takes before it changes anything.

It says exactly what it changed, and the command that does the same again.

How it changes it

Inside Classic or Studio, a setting of the open project (the tempo, the frame rate, the frame shape, the song's title, any control of the look) changes in place, as one step of undo. A workspace's own setting, such as the Mastering loudness target, sets up that workspace's tab beside your project where the tab takes it live, or opens the workspace with it set.

On SW Agent's page, a workspace's setting opens that workspace with it already set. A setting of a project needs the project open, so SW Agent says which editor it is in and gives you the link.

How do I change it?

Ask "how do I change the loudness target" or "where do I set the beats per bar" and SW Agent answers with the exact place (the workspace, the panel and the control's name), a Do it for me button on each value it takes, and the command to type.

When a value does not fit, it says the control's range or its choices. When two workspaces have a setting with the same name, it asks which one you mean.

Settings to try

Ask "suggest settings for a calm song", "what settings work best for TikTok" or, in an editor, "make it punchier", and SW Agent suggests values for the settings that mood, genre or platform changes: the look's speed and pulse, the transition and its length, the music video's pacing, the mastering preset and target, the frame shape. Each has Apply, and Apply all sets a workspace's together (in an editor, as one step of undo). Different words give different values, and Other values gives the next set, so not every video starts the same.

Typed commands

A command starting with a slash is read exactly as you type it, with no guessing. Settings are named workspace.setting, such as mastering.target, classic.bpm or look.speed.

  • /set <key> <value>: Sets one setting to a value, a step (+10, -0.2) or a direction (up, down). For example, /set mastering.target streaming.
  • /open <workspace> <setting>=<value> ...: Opens a workspace with several settings applied at once, through its own launch. For example, /open mastering target=spotify.
  • /keys [workspace or words]: Lists a workspace's settings as commands, or the settings whose names hold the words. For example, /keys mastering.
  • /how <key>: Says where the control is, with a Do it for me button. For example, /how classic.bpm.
  • /suggest [workspace] <mood, genre or platform>: Suggests settings to try, each with an Apply button. For example, /suggest mastering lofi.
  • /commands: Lists these commands. For example, /commands.

Every command

The commands page lists every setting of every workspace as a command, with where its control is, what it takes and how SW Agent changes it, and a search box. The list is made from the workspaces' own settings, so a new setting is on it the day it ships. Assistants connected through MCP can list and change settings the same way, with list_settings and change_setting.
