Getting started with SW Agent, everywhere on the site

One conversation on SW Agent's page, in the editors and on every tool page: how to start, what to ask, your own things, tips along the way, and SW Agent in search and help.

Describes Sonic Weaver v5.28, released .

How to start

Ask in plain words what you want made or changed, or ask a question. If you are not sure where to begin, say "help me get started" or "how do I use you": SW Agent answers with the most useful things to ask where you are, each a button that runs it, how it works, and where help lives.

It is not an AI model. It chooses one of the site's own tools, or a chain of them, runs it in your browser and says what it did, or says plainly when it cannot.

One conversation everywhere

SW Agent's page, the SW Agent tab of Classic and Studio, and Ask SW Agent on every tool page are one conversation. Start a chat in the Thumbnail maker, carry on in Mastering, then open Classic: the conversation is there. Switching an editor's tabs or moving between tool pages also keeps a job that is running. A job runs in the page that started it, so closing that page stops it, and the conversation says so.

Two browser tabs keep the same conversation too: what you say in one appears in the other. New chat starts a new conversation in both, and the old one stays in your history.

Ask SW Agent on a tool page

Every tool page has an Ask SW Agent button at the bottom left. It opens the same conversation beside the page (on a phone, over it), and SW Agent knows which tool you are on, what is open there and its settings, so "this" means that page. Asked to export there, it says how that page exports and offers to open your last project at its export.

The button moves above an ad that would be under it, steps aside when it cannot, and hides while the cookie choices are open. Escape or Close closes the conversation, and it keeps everything you said.

In search and help

Site search shows SW Agent's answer above the results, quoted from our docs with its sources. Continue in SW Agent carries the question and the answer into the conversation. Every help article ends with Ask SW Agent about this, and when the help centre finds nothing it offers SW Agent instead.

Your own projects, uploads and saved items

Ask "show my projects", "my last export", "the picture I uploaded", "my saved looks" or "what have I made". Signed in, SW Agent reads your own projects, saved items, templates and uploads from your account; signed out, the projects and templates kept in this browser. Each comes with a button to open it, to open a Classic project at its export, or inside an editor to put an upload into the open project. Nothing of anyone else's is ever read, and signed out nothing is sent.

On SW Agent's page, the Progress panel lists what the conversation has made so far: its projects, the files still in this tab, the workspaces it opened and the chains it ran.

Tips along the way

Now and then, after a job, SW Agent adds one short tip for what you just did, at most one every 3 jobs, and never the same tip twice. Press No more tips under one, or switch tips off in Settings, SW Agent. The choice and the count are kept on this device.

Still have a question about this?

SW Agent answers from this article and the rest of our docs, and can do it for you with the site's own tools.
