SW Agent (beta)
Ask in plain words: it chooses one of our tools, or a chain of them, runs it in your browser, and answers questions from our docs.
Describes Sonic Weaver v5.19, released .
What it is
SW Agent is a chat on its own page and a tab in Classic and Studio. You ask in plain words, attach a picture, a video, a song or a 3D model if you have one, and it runs one of our own tools for you. It is not an AI model: it reads what you wrote with fixed rules, chooses a function or a chain of functions, and runs the same code the workspaces run.
It is in private beta (version 0.0.1). While it is switched off, its page says so and the editors do not show its tab.
What it can do
Each of these is a function you can ask for in your own words, or pick from its Functions panel. Inside Classic or Studio, the ones marked for an editor change the open project.
- Open a workspace: Opens one of the creation workspaces: as a tab beside this one inside Classic or Studio, or its own page.
- Build a project: Builds a Classic or Studio project with the look, frame shape, title, artist, country or animal already set, and opens it.
- Generate a visualizer from a picture: Runs Generate visualizer on the attached picture: it is split into its own layers, each moving to the song.
- Animate a picture or video in Background Motion: Puts the attached picture or video into a Background Motion scene as a layer, ready to move to the song.
- Send a file to a workspace: Sends the attached file to a workspace that takes it: Mastering, the Stem Splitter, Convert, the Thumbnail maker, the Image editor, Cover art, 3D models, or this project.
- Find templates and visualizers: Searches every visualizer and its looks by engine, mode, country, animal, occasion, colour or your own words.
- Apply a look to this project: Makes a visualizer look the open project's look (Classic) or adds it as a layer (Studio). (In Classic or Studio.)
- Set the title, artist or frame shape: Sets the open project's song title and artist name, or its frame shape (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, 4:3, 21:9). (In Classic or Studio.)
- Make a thumbnail from a picture: Runs the Thumbnail maker on the attached picture or video, picks its best layout and gives you the thumbnail as a file.
- Suggest a free song: Suggests free songs from the site's music library, with links that open them in Classic.
- Answer a help question: Answers from the site's own documentation (help articles, tutorials, the glossary, the FAQ, tool guides, engine docs, the blog and the changelog), quoting it with links.
Chains: scripted workflows
A chain runs several functions in the same order every time, passing what one makes to the next. Each step reports its progress, and if one cannot finish, the chain stops there and says which step and why. Pick one from the Chains panel, or ask for it.
- Visualizer from a picture: Generate visualizer splits your picture into layers that move to the song, gives you a still of the look, adds it to the open project (in an editor) and suggests a free song.
- Vertical lyric video from a picture and a song: Sets up a 9:16 lyric video: the frame, the Kinetic Lyric Typescape look, your picture as the background, your song, your title and artist, then opens Lyric Videos for the words. In an editor every step lands in the open project; on this page it builds the project to open.
- Thumbnail from a picture: The Thumbnail maker opens your picture or video, picks its best frame and layout with your title, and gives you the thumbnail as a PNG; the design stays open in the maker to change.
Files you can download
When a function makes a file, such as a thumbnail or a still of a generated look, it appears in the chat with a Download button. The file stays in your browser tab: it is not uploaded, and it is gone when you close the tab or clear the chat.
Help answers from our docs
Ask a question and it searches every help article, tutorial, glossary term, FAQ answer, tool guide, engine page, blog post and release note, then quotes the passages that answer it, with links to read more. When nothing in our docs answers it, it says so and links the help centre search. It never makes up an answer.
Privacy
Your chat history stays on this device, in your browser's storage, and Clear chat removes it. To answer a help question, the question is sent to our server, matched against the docs and not stored. Your files stay in the tab unless you send them to a workspace or a project yourself.
What it cannot do yet
It only does what our tools do, and it does not understand every way of asking. It does not export videos for you: open the project it builds and press Export. When it cannot do something it says so and offers the workspace that can.
