Ask SW Agent instead of clicking

Ask in plain words and SW Agent runs the tool behind it and answers in the chat: conversions, percentages, dates, colours, lyrics, chords, captions from your own song, a 3D title, a PDF, a mastered song or a converted file. The tool opens beside the chat with the result, every setting there to change.

Describes Sonic Weaver v5.29, released .

Ask, and the tool runs

You never have to fill in a form to get an answer. Say what you want the way you would to a person, and SW Agent picks the tool, reads the values from your words, runs it and answers first, with the working. The tool then opens on SW Agent's canvas with the same values, so you can change any of them by hand and see the result change.

A value your words do not give is never guessed: SW Agent says which one it needs, or starts from the tool's own setting and tells you which.

  • "What's 15% of 240", "convert 5 km to miles", "72 fahrenheit in celsius", "20% off 80", "how many days until Christmas": the calculator answers, with the unit converter, percentages or the date calculator behind it.
  • "Write lyrics about rain", "words that rhyme with fire", "a sad chord progression in A minor": the lyric writer, the rhyme finder and chord progressions, all written with code.
  • "Make a 3d title that says Night Drive": a three.js title with its camera move, to download or open in 3D Models.
  • "Make a type scale for 16px base", "#ff8800 in rgb", "title case: night drive under the stars": the type scale, colour converter and text case apps.

The tools that answer from your words

Unit converter: any length, weight, volume, time, data size, area, speed, frequency, pressure, energy, power, angle or temperature in another unit, with the working and the same amount in the other common units.

Percentages: a percent of an amount, a discount, an amount plus or less a percent, a tip, what percent one figure is of another, and the percent change between two, each with its working.

Date calculator: days until a date or a holiday, days between two dates, the date some days, weeks, months or years from another, the day of the week of a date, and an age from a birthday.

Colour converter: one colour in every way it is written (HEX, RGB, HSL, OKLCH, CIELAB and CMYK) with its contrast against white and black, so you know which text colour reads on it.

Lyric writer: song lyrics on your topic, written with code from line patterns and a rhyme bank: verse and chorus, a bridge, a rap verse or a hook, in the mood and rhyme scheme you choose, with syllables a line.

Rhyme finder: words that rhyme with yours, sorted into things, actions and describing words, from a bank of song words grouped by sound; a word outside the bank gets near rhymes by its spelling.

Chord progressions: the chords of a well-known progression (pop, sad, epic, jazz, lofi, blues and more) in your key, with their Roman numerals and notes, and every chord the key holds.

Text insights: what a text is made of: words, sentences, reading and speaking time, reading ease, the key words, and the people, places and organisations it names.

Text case and slugs: your words in Title Case, Sentence case, UPPER and lower case, a URL slug, camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case, each ready to copy.

SRT maker: subtitles from timed words any program recognised, grouped by the owner's Song to SRT rules, or lyrics placed on a song's bars at its tempo, as SRT, WebVTT or LRC.

3D title: your words as a 3D title drawn with three.js: the depth, the rounded edges, the colour, a shape behind it and a camera move, live on the canvas, as a GLB that opens in 3D Models.

Jobs done for you, not just files moved

Attach a file and ask for the result, and the workspace's own job runs in your browser: "master this song for Spotify" masters it to the streaming target with Mastering's own chain; "convert this video to a gif" or "compress this under 10 MB" runs Convert's own settings; "make this photo black and white", "vintage", "brighter" or "crop it square" uses the Image editor's own looks and adjustments; "remove the background" uses the public models, after asking you to agree to the model's download.

The finished file comes into the chat, and your original goes into the workspace, so every setting is there to change and export again. Ask to send or put a file somewhere and it is only placed there, as before.

Everything else SW Agent can now do from a request

Make captions from a song or video (make_captions): listens to the song or video you attach, on your device, and writes its words as subtitles by the Song to SRT rules: an SRT, a WebVTT and an LRC, plus a review file with every word's time. They open in the Caption file app to adjust, and import into the editors' Captions panel.

Make a PDF (make_pdf): turns text you give me, my last answer or our whole chat into a PDF to download, laid out with headings, paragraphs and lists, made in your browser.

Read a font file (read_font): reads the font file you attach: its names, designer, licence text, how many letters it has, which alphabets it covers and its measurements, and writes your words in it as a picture and as outlines to download (SVG).

Go to a page (go_to_page): takes you to any page of the site by its name: your dashboard, settings, notifications and badges, the community, creators, help, the changelog, the status page, the legal pages and every tool, from the tool map.

My level and badges (my_rewards): says your level, your XP and the badges you hold, and the next badge closest to earning, SW Agent's own among them, from your account.

Share this chat (share_chat): makes a public link to our chat or to one answer, after showing you exactly what it will hold (text and links only; files and the names of your attachments stay with you), with Copy link and share buttons. Turn any link off in Settings, SW Agent.

Change the kind of agent (set_agent_kind): makes me an Agent (I choose and act), a Runner (I only run programs) or a Planner (I show my steps first), kept in this browser.

Find a video about it (find_videos): links YouTube videos on a topic: our own channel's videos where they fit, and a YouTube search for the rest, always with a caution that videos are not checked sources.

Watch Sonic Weaver Live (live_station): where to watch the 24/7 station (Twitch and Kick), the page that explains it, and its browser source for your own stream.

Embed a visualizer on your site (embed_code): writes the code to put a visualizer on your own website (WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify, any HTML), in the look and frame shape you name, ready to copy.

My benchmark scores (agent_scores): shows how well I do on the test messages I never learn from, skill by skill, against each skill's floor, as /status shows them.

Connect another AI to Sonic Weaver (connect_ai): how to connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to Sonic Weaver through our MCP server, read-only and signed out: its address and what it can do.

Captions from your own song or video

Attach a song or a video and say "make captions for this" or "transcribe this song". SW Agent listens to it on your device with the same recognition as Song to SRT on the Lyric videos page, and writes the words by the Song to SRT rules: an SRT, a WebVTT, an LRC and a review file with every word's time. Your file is never uploaded. Automatic recognition of singing is a draft, so listen through before you publish.

The captions open in the Caption file app to move earlier or later, check and save in another format, and they import into the editors' Captions panel. Other programs, and AI assistants through our MCP server, can use the same rules with the SRT maker app: timed words in, captions out.

Videos, with care

Ask for videos about a topic, and how-to answers can carry them too: our own channel's videos where they fit, and a YouTube search for the rest.

Use YouTube with care: videos are not checked sources, so check what one says against the sources I cite. I can link videos but not quote them; to quote your own video, attach it and ask me to make its captions.

Keyboard shortcuts

The chat has the shortcuts you know from other assistants; Ctrl+/ lists them, and so does the keyboard button beside Share.

  • Enter: send the message
  • Shift+Enter: a new line in the message
  • Up arrow (in an empty box): put your last message back in the box to change it
  • Shift+Esc: go to the message box
  • Esc (while working): stop what SW Agent is doing (it asks first)
  • Ctrl+Shift+O: start a new chat (this one stays in your history)
  • Alt+Shift+C: copy SW Agent's last answer
  • Alt+Shift+S: share this chat
  • Ctrl+/: show these shortcuts
