Support links on your profile
Add your own PayPal.me, Stripe Payment Link, Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee or Patreon link so people can support you directly. No money passes through Sonic Weaver.
Describes Sonic Weaver v6.15, released .
Add a support link
Signed in, open Settings, then Profile, and find Support links in your profile details. There is one field for each provider: PayPal.me link, Stripe Payment Link, Ko-fi page, Buy Me a Coffee page and Patreon page. Paste the link to your own page there (for example https://ko-fi.com/yourname) and press Save profile.
You can add one link or all of them. If a link is not one we can show, the field says why before anything is saved, and the server checks it again when you save.
Where your support links show
They show on your channel under your other links, as Support with your name, with a button for each provider. They also show beside your community posts while your profile is public.
If your profile is for followers only or private, they stay on your channel for the people who can open it.
How a supporter pays you
A supporter presses your button and pays you on the provider's own site, in a new tab. The payment is between them and you: no money passes through Sonic Weaver, we take no share, and we never see their payment details. There are no keys to set up and nothing to sign up for on our side; you only need your own account with the provider.
Support links are never tied to ads or to watching anything, and Sonic Weaver does not count who presses them.
Which links are accepted
A payment link is the link a scammer most wants on a trusted page, so only links that start with https:// and go to a page on the provider's own site are accepted:
- PayPal: paypal.me or www.paypal.com/paypalme/
- Stripe: buy.stripe.com or donate.stripe.com
- Ko-fi: ko-fi.com
- Buy Me a Coffee: buymeacoffee.com
- Patreon: patreon.com
Removing a link, reports and your data
To remove a link, clear its field and press Save profile. Clear every field to remove them all.
Anyone signed in can report your support links, like any other content, and we review each report by hand. If we remove them for breaking the Community Guidelines, we tell you why, and you can appeal from Account standing.
Your support links are in your data export, and they are deleted with your account.
