Make a Thumbnail from Your Visualizer

A thumbnail is the first thing anyone sees of your video, so it is worth a minute. Sonic Weaver makes one from your visualizer itself: it finds the strongest moments of your song, renders those frames and pairs each with a layout that leaves room for your title.

From the Classic editor

1. Open your project in the Classic editor with your song loaded, and go to the Export tab.
2. In the Thumbnail section, choose what it is Made for (a YouTube video; Shorts, TikTok and Reels; a Twitch or Kick stream and more). The size follows from that choice.
3. Press Suggest thumbnails. Each suggestion shows the moment in the song it came from and its layout. Press More for other pairings.
4. Pick one, then Download PNG or Download JPG, or press Customize to finish it in the Thumbnail maker.

In the Thumbnail maker

The Thumbnail maker starts from whatever you have: A video file (any MP4 or WebM, including your own exports), A visualizer project, A picture such as your cover art, or Start blank for a banner or an announcement. A video or picture opens on your device and is never uploaded.

• Type your Title and Artist at the top of the suggestions and every suggestion updates with them.
• Pick a starting point, then change the words, fonts and colours, add your logo, shapes and stickers, and move anything.
• To take something off, click it on the picture and press the Remove button beside it (or Remove in its settings, or the Delete key). Undo brings it back.
• Switch on Show safe area to see where a platform's own buttons and timestamps will cover the picture.
• Download a PNG or a JPG. Every format is sized for its platform and kept under that platform's file limit, and you can save the design to your library to come back to it.
