Thumbnails and watermarks
Make a thumbnail from your visualizer or a video, design your own watermark, and choose what goes into your files.
Describes Sonic Weaver v5.8, released .
Thumbnails from your visualizer
In the Classic editor, open Export settings → Thumbnail and press Suggest thumbnails. Sonic Weaver listens for your song's strongest moments (the drop, the loudest stretches, the end of the intro), renders a frame at each, and pairs the best four with layouts that leave room for your title. Pick one and download it, or press Customize to change it in the Thumbnail maker.
Suggestions are rendered from a couple of seconds before each moment, so effects that build up over a song, such as trails, can differ slightly from the video. After you export a video, "From your export" offers frames identical to it.
- YouTube video: 3840x2160, the size YouTube recommends.
- YouTube from a phone: 1280x720, kept under the app's 2 MB limit.
- Shorts, TikTok and Reels: 2160x3840.
- Square, portrait, stream, channel banner and profile picture sizes too.
The Thumbnail maker
Start from a video file or a picture (both open on your device and are never uploaded), a project, or a blank background. Change the words, fonts and colours, add your logo, shapes and stickers, drag anything into place, and switch formats: layouts keep their text inside each platform's safe area. Save the design to your library to change it later.
Your own watermark
The maker's Watermark tab starts from eight styles: a corner logo, an @handle tag, a name badge, a lower third, a sting that pops in on a beat, an end stamp, a signature and a tiled pattern. Choose when it shows (the intro, throughout or every so often, the outro, or a mix) and how it arrives. Then switch it on for a project in Export settings: the preview shows it exactly where the video will have it. A remix of your post never carries your watermark.
Sharing and using a thumbnail
From the maker you can copy a ready-made description with links back to your work, set a design as your channel banner or profile picture, use it as a community post's still, or, when links are switched on, share it at a short link you can turn off at any time.
The optional "Made with Sonic Weaver" label
Off by default. When you switch it on, your PNG, JPG and MP4 downloads carry a standard metadata label (the software used, and that a person made it with non-AI tools) and any credits you add in Settings → Profile → Channel branding. Nothing is drawn on the picture. YouTube and most social sites remove the label when they process an upload, so it labels the file itself.
